Students’ Progression:
The excellent results of the students are the fruits of the potential energy indulged in the teaching leaing procedure. Every student is given utmost care and dealt with spiritual and psychological point of view. The focusing factors that brings about the result out of the students are
- Student –Teacher two-way interaction: A healthy atmosphere is built where students can discuss about anything and everything of their academic interests with teachers. The teaching-leaing process is bi-faceted.
- Technological teaching: The audiovisual modes of teaching in the form of presentations increase the power to hold the things clearly.
- Practical and live examples: Students are given live examples of day to day life and situations, so that they can understand the tough topics easily.
- Instrumental Support: There are several conventional and mode technology based instruments which escalate the practical skill of students.
- Software trainings: Students are made acquainted with new GIS and mapping software, SPSS etc., which put them forward.
- Assignment based seminars: Every week particular one day is for seminar class. Mock seminars are given by students based on any relevant topic. This prepares them to be self-confident and become good orators. The writing ability of the students gets emulsified and makes good reading habits.
- Advanced grooming classes: Grooming classes arranged for students help them to perform better and gives a bounce to their challenging activities.
- Unique Feedback system: Surprise tests and short length unit tests are taken frequently besides the main examinations of the college and university. These examinations increases the performing ability of the students and teachers can judge the level of teaching impact on the students.
- Question Bank: The department has hard copies of all previous year questions of the past and present university patte. Moreover it collects and updates the entrance examination questions of all the renowned universities of India like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Visva Bharati University (VBU) etc. It provides guidelines to the students about how to read and what to read.
- Parents-Teacher meeting: Meetings are organized for easy exchange of ideas between parents and teachers about how the betterment of students can take place beyond the classroom level.
- Relationship of present students with ex-students: The department is very successful in bridging the gap between the passed out students with new students. So the new students get guidelines about many academic activities from their seniors, starting from taking suggestion about books, to university level preparations. The success stories of seniors encourages the new generations too.
